According to several sources, BuckeyesNow on Sports Illustrated has learned that Ohio State will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ohio Stadium this fall with a special logo.

Above the number 100 and the name of the illustrious stadium, the design prominently features the north end of Ohio Stadium. Below that is the decorative band that surrounds Block “O,” which is flanked by the years 1922 and 2022, as well as the rotunda and towers on the stadium’s north, southeast, and southwest sides.

Ohio Stadium, often known as the Horseshoe and “The House That Harley Built,” replaced Ohio Field on October 7, 1922, for a cost of $1.3 million. Its current capacity of 102,780 makes it the third-largest stadium in the nation, behind only Michigan Stadium (107,601) and Penn State’s Beaver Stadium. Its initial seating capacity was 66,210.
