As a die-hard red-blooded New York Yankees fan, I felt incredibly lucky when I recently acquired a pair of the limited edition Air Jordan 11 “New York Yankees” shoes. After unboxing them, I was stunned by the attention to detail: from a custom New York Yankees-themed embossed upper and tongue, to a navy-blue internal lining that perfectly matched the navy-blue shoe, to a ankle lace patch that proudly displayed the Yankees logo. The Navy upper was accompanied by a pinstripe pattern, with the shoe’s signature Jordan “Jumpman” logo directly on the tongue. I felt like I had the perfect combination of the traditional Jordan-style look, mixed with a unique and iconic Yankees design.
